Clear Skull Bowling Ball

I have an update on my quest for a clear skull bowling ball. Since no one around my area has any in stock I started searching online.

Ebay has several listings for a knockoff clear skull bowling ball. I guess it is a pro shop trying to sell them, but I’m not even sure who the manufacturer is. They look similar to the old school Ebonite skull bowling ball, but it isn’t the same thing.

I guess if it doesn’t make any difference to you whether yours is an Ebonite ball or not, then go for it. There are also a few of the Ebonite skull bowling balls listed there, with no “buy it now” option. The biggest difference I can tell from the photos is the Ebonite ball shows the skull with an open mouth, while the knockoff has a skull with the teeth clenched.

I dunno, maybe I’m just old fashioned, but I’m going for the original. Unless I am totally off base with this one. Let me know what you think.

Skull Bowling Balls

I’ve still been searching for skull bowling balls in pro shops around here but have had no luck. I have seen some online but would prefer not to have to pay for shipping.

I know, I am obsessed with this all of a sudden, but it would be so sweet to have a clear skull bowling ball for my spare ball. As far as I can tell Ebonite started manufacturing them back in the late 90’s. That was around the time the movie, “Mystery Men” came out, where “The Bowler” used her skull bowling ball.

OK, just wanted to remind you to let me know if you find anyone around here that would like to sell me a ball. I’d be happy to buy dinner and a few drinks too.

Skull Bowling Ball

Hey everybody, remember the clear skull bowling ball? I’ve been trying to find one of them since I saw that movie…”Mystery Men”. Janeane Garofalo was using it and her super powers to ward off evil…but that isn’t the point.

I guess the skull bowling balls are kind of popular because I can’t find one around here anywhere.

I guess this bowling ball is made out of some sort of plastic so it shouldn’t hook, would be perfect for a spare ball. I’m not even sure if I would use it or just keep it as a keepsake.

Does anyone else remember an older movie about bowlers where one of the pros was using the clear skull bowling ball? Man…I can’t remember the movie, let me know if you can help me out!
